961Med primarily serves Lebanon, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt, with expanding coverage across the MENA region. Lebanese diaspora worldwide can also connect with Lebanese-trained physicians through our platform.
04Are your doctors verified?
Yes. Every doctor undergoes a rigorous verification process. We check their Lebanese Medical Order registration, medical school credentials, board certifications, and professional history. Verified doctors receive a Blue Check badge on their profile.
05What is the SOS Emergency feature?
Our SOS feature connects you to an ER physician via video in under 90 seconds. It includes GPS-linked ambulance dispatch, wearable vitals streaming, and Lebanon's first Tri-Phasic Emergency Alert System for critical care situations.
06How do I create an account?
Click "Sign Up Free" on the homepage. Fill in your personal details, medical history, and create a password. Registration is free for patients. Doctors can apply through the Doctor Registration form and are verified within 48 hours.

01How do I book an appointment?
Browse doctors by specialty, view their profiles, ratings and availability, then click "Book Now." Select your preferred date and time, choose consultation type (video, voice, or chat), and confirm. You'll receive a confirmation email with a link to join.
02Can doctors prescribe medications?
Yes. Licensed doctors on 961Med can issue digital prescriptions during your consultation. These are sent directly to your account and can be forwarded to your local pharmacy. Controlled substances may require an in-person visit per local regulations.
03What specialties are available?
We offer 40+ specialties including Cardiology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Neurology, General Practice, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, and more. Our mental health services include therapy and counseling with licensed practitioners.
04Is mental health counseling anonymous?
Yes. Our mental health services offer 100% anonymous text therapy options. You can communicate with licensed therapists via secure text chat without revealing your identity. Video and voice sessions are also available if you prefer face-to-face interaction.
05Can I get a second opinion or follow-up?
Absolutely. You can book a follow-up with the same doctor or consult a different specialist for a second opinion. Your medical records are securely shared within the platform so new doctors have full context of your history.

01How much does a consultation cost?
General consultations start from $25 USD. Specialist consultations range from $35 to $70 depending on the specialty and doctor. Each doctor sets their own fee, which is displayed on their profile before you book.
02Which insurance providers do you accept?
We work with AXA, Allianz SNA, Bankers Insurance, Medgulf, NSSF, and 30+ additional providers across the MENA region. Coverage varies by plan. Contact your insurer to confirm telemedicine benefits before booking.
03What payment methods are accepted?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and local payment methods including OMT and Whish Money. All transactions are processed through our secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment system.
04What is the cancellation and refund policy?
You can cancel or reschedule up to 2 hours before your appointment for a full refund. Late cancellations may incur a 25% fee. If a doctor cancels or fails to connect, you receive an automatic full refund.
05Is patient registration free?
Yes, creating a patient account on 961Med is completely free. You only pay when you book a consultation. There are no subscription fees, hidden charges, or membership requirements.

01What devices can I use?
961Med works on any modern web browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge on desktop, tablet, or smartphone. No app download is required. For the best video call experience, we recommend a stable internet connection of at least 2 Mbps.
02What internet speed do I need?
For text chat: any connection works. For voice calls: 0.5 Mbps minimum. For HD video calls: 2 Mbps recommended. Our platform adapts video quality automatically based on your connection to ensure uninterrupted consultations.
03What if my video call drops?
If a call drops, you can rejoin immediately using the same link. Your session timer pauses during disconnection. If connectivity issues persist, the doctor can switch to voice or text chat. Technical issues that prevent a consultation qualify for a full refund.
04Can I share medical files with my doctor?
Yes. During or before your consultation, you can upload lab results, imaging scans, previous prescriptions, and medical reports. All files are encrypted end-to-end and stored securely. Supported formats include PDF, JPG, PNG, and DICOM.
05Does 961Med support wearable devices?
Yes. Our platform integrates with popular health wearables to stream real-time vitals (heart rate, SpO2, blood pressure) during emergency consultations. This data helps ER physicians make faster, more informed decisions.

01Is my health data secure?
Absolutely. All data is protected with AES-256 end-to-end encryption, both in transit and at rest. We are HIPAA compliant, GDPR compliant, and ISO 27001 certified. Your medical records are never shared without your explicit consent.
02What compliance standards does 961Med follow?
We follow HIPAA (US health data protection), GDPR (European data privacy), and ISO 27001 (information security management) standards. Our infrastructure undergoes regular third-party security audits and penetration testing.
03Who can access my medical records?
Only you and the doctors you explicitly consult with can view your medical records. 961Med staff cannot access patient health data. You control who sees your information and can revoke access at any time through your account settings.
04Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Under GDPR's "right to be forgotten," you can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Go to Account Settings and select "Delete Account," or contact our support team. Deletion is processed within 30 days.
05Are video consultations recorded?
No. Video and voice consultations are not recorded by default. If a recording is needed for medical documentation, both parties must provide explicit consent. All communications are encrypted end-to-end and cannot be intercepted.
